I am so EXCITED!!! I have been accepted into the Brigade, the law and order faction on Erie Isle. Here is the announcement from the Brigade:

WELCOME NEW CADET
Please welcome Marzipan Zanzibar, our very own Fire Dog and Brigade mascot! Please help her learn the ropes and make sure she is fed, walked and loved up regularly!

I haven't started role playing yet, but tonight I went to the Gypsy camp and my friend Danielle helped me set up my DCS meter, which keeps track of experience points and combat damage. Not that I'm going to be fighting - I'm not tall enough to qualify! It was very confusing setting it up, but she walked me through it and now I'm all ready to start playing.

Someday soon I hope to take part in rescue operations like the one Danielle and I watched yesterday - you can see the rescue boat by the downed helicopter and the ship caught in the sea monster's tentacles. But I need rescue dog training first!

Erie Isle

I've had my excitement for the day, sure - I accidently stole a helicopter and crashed it! I was visiting Erie Isle, a role-playing sim. Here is their web page: http://www.erie-isle.com/

I read all their note cards at the landing site and put on a visitor tag. When I entered the island itself there were several fights going on so I tried to stay out of everyone's way while I looked around. A big black helicopter on the roof of the hospital caught my eye, and the next thing I knew I had climbed up to the roof and sat in the pilot's seat. Sometimes it is so awkward having paws rather than hands - I must have pushed a button because suddenly the chopper was in the air and turning in circles. Somehow I got it partially under control and tried to take it back to the landing pad.

A warning from one of the Game Masters that the helicopter was not to be used by observers got me just rattled enough to crash on an apartment building balcony. The occupant wasn't too happy. She said:
Get off my landing
Or I will end you
One second love

jump
and you will live

You can bet I jumped! I didn't even have time to take a picture of the crash scene. But I didn't break anything when I landed and soon I met a kind being who took me to Club Restricted for a nice drink of water.

Club Restricted was a little scary because everyone who came in the door was "cursed by the Dreadshift" and burst into flame. Fortunately this didn't happen to mere observers like me! They all recovered right away, so maybe the curse isn't too terrible.

I came home thinking that I probably had had enough excitement and wouldn't be going back. But then I read a recent issue of the Erie Isle Seer - and guess what I saw!

An article about the Erie Island Fire Department! I wonder if they need a mascot? I will have to investigate this further!

"Mais où sont les neiges d'antan?"

Or - I went to Narnia and all I got was this lousy lamp post. Okay, it's really a lovely lamp post, but I am so disheartened. The creator of the Chronicles of Narnia sim decided he wasn't going to do it any more so he took Narnia down - with only a few hours notice. I loved visiting my friends there, but I knew there was something wrong because all the people I liked best were leaving. It was still a shock to have it all Fizzle out. I won't even bother to post the other pictures I took.

But if you look in my inworld profile, you can see me with Aslan - that's a memory no one can take away from me.

Marzipan in Wonderland

Today I visited the Alice in Wonderland Dark Ride -

It took a long time for everything in the landing area to rez, so I didn't have time to explore the whole sim. Here are a few more pictures. I'll definitely have to go back for a better look.

Chatting with the Caterpillar (so that's what a hookah is!)

Life-size chess board - am I black or white?

This bunny does NOT smell like the real White Rabbit. Imposter!

What Dalmatian can resist a fire truck?

This is my new bed! I haven't set it up in my loft yet because I need plenty of room to admire it. I was shopping at Kreationz 4 Kidz
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Chris%20and%20Hit/20/125/23
and Alexius Dumpling told me that her husband, Hektah Szpigal, was working on a fire truck bed. Of course I wanted one!

Isn't this great? Hektah scaled it down to fit me. Look at the black and white bedding! Look at the detail on the headboard gauge cluster!

Hektah's beds are wonderful - any kid would be thrilled to have one. He's working on a batmobile bed now, and as soon as I finish blogging I'm going to TP over and have a look.

Narnia!

I discovered the Chronicles of Narnia sim a couple of weeks ago. It's fantastically beautiful and imaginative.

In the top picture I am standing at the door of Professor Kirke's house, looking up at the clock on the landing. In the second picture I have found a mysterious Wardrobe and am ready to step through it into the magical land of Narnia. The third picture shows the Lamp Post, shedding its warm light on the cold snow.

I will tell more about my explorations of Narnia in later posts, but tomorrow I will show you my new bed - a fire truck!

In which I introduce my house

I love my little 512 Cedar Cabin from Yukon Log Homes. It's so much easier - not to mention cheaper and more fun - to decorate for Puppy Marzipan. You will notice that I have lots of pictures of Aslan - in future posts I will talk about the Chronicles of Narnia sim and my adventures there.

In which I introduce myself

I love Second Life, and I've found that there's nothing more fun than living here as a puppy. I was so shy as a human, but as Dalmatian Puppy Marzipan I am fearless. I make friends easily and am always encountering delightful beings (of course they are delightful - they are dog lovers!).

I can do so many things - run, seek, sit, stretch out on my tummy, lie on my back - to name only a few. Here I am hiding in the grass, getting ready to pounce on a butterfly. Am I adorable or what?!
